We are located in Alpha, Michigan, the smallest village in America with a brewery! Family is always welcome! Food is available from local establishments on Thursday-Sunday or you can carry in your own food and enjoy our craft brews. All our brews are “Craft brewed on the Circle” TM!
The Alpha Michigan Brewing Company brews with a purpose – community involvement. We set aside a percentage of our profits to support community charities. We are happy to host fund raisers at the brewery and donate a portion of our taproom sales to these fund raisers. The prosperity of our community is our #1 priority. The vision behind the Alpha Michigan Brewing Company is that it would be the catalyst of positive change in Alpha, Michigan and the surrounding area.

Alpha American Ale
American Pale Ale – A pale, refreshing and hoppy ale with supporting malt that makes this beer balanced and drinkable! Moderate hop aroma from Cascade hops complements the low to moderate maltiness and allows characteristics of the specialty malts shine through! AAA is made with a blend of malted barley, caramel and Munich malts. Perfect as an “any time” beer!
Bears Cave IPA
American IPA – A decidedly hoppy and bitter, moderately strong American pale ale. The balance is hop forward with a clean supporting malt allowing the hop character to shine through! A prominent hop aroma featuring citrus and pine is characteristic of this ale. A remarkably clear deep orange color with a medium high hop bitterness prevails over the subtle malt backbone. Our IPA is make with locally grown grains and hops in addition to the base grains of malted barley, pale ale malt, crystal and munich malts. First wort hopped with Centennial and Chinook and dry hopped with both for 14 days!
Brule River Red
American Amber Ale – An amber, moderately hoppy craft brew with caramel, malty flavor! Light hop aroma from Cascade hops complements the caramel sweetness and hop flavor/bitterness can linger somewhat into the medium to full finish! BRR is made with a blend of malted barley and several caramel malts.
End of Summer Blues-Berry Muffin
Blueberry Wiess (Wheat) Beer – Rich burgundy in color this is a refreshing German wheat brew with high carbonation, dry finish, and a fluffy mouthfeel! Made with White Wheat malt, Pilsen malt, and Victory malt which provides the light biscuit flavor! Michigan blueberry pulp was added during secondary fermentation! Michigan blueberry juice added at time of kegging to give the distinct blueberry flavor and color! Very lightly hopped with Centennial and Saaz hops. ONLY AVAILABLE AROUND THE “END OF SUMMER BLUESFEST”
Whit Bier (Belgian Ale) – A refreshing, elegant, tasty, moderate-strength wheat-based ale. Moderate perfume of coriander with complex herbal and spicy notes in the background. Moderate zesty, citrusy-organgey fruitiness. Great with a slice of fresh orange! Made with White Wheat Malt, Pilsen Malt, Flaked Oats, and Honey Malt. Spiced with orange peel and coriander. Lightly hopped with Saaz hops. One of our summer brews!
Naughty School Girl Cream Ale
Cream Ale! – A clean, flavorable American “lawnmower” beer! Easily drinkable and refreshing with character typical of American lagers! Low malt tones with sweet, corn-like aroma. Hope aroma low with subtle floral and herbal notes! Pale straw to golden color with a medium to high carbonation. Will be generally light and crisp with a “thirst quenching” quality! Made with malted barley, including some locally grown raw barley, flaked corn and honey malts! Hopped with a mix of Cascade, Saaz, and East Kent Goldings
Porter School Porter
American Porter – A substantial, malty dark beer with complex and flavorful dark character. Medium dark malt aroma with a slight burnt character! Sweetness derived by using locally sourced maple syrup prior to kegging! Bitterness and hop aroma comes from the mix of Tettnang, Magnum, Willamette, and East Kent Goldings hops! Made with a complex array of malts gives way to a moderate strong malt flavor that finishes on a slightly sweet tone!
Stager Lake Summer Wheat
Wiess (Wheat) Beer – A pale, refreshing German wheat beer with high carbonation, dry finish, a fluffy mouthfeel, and a distinctive banana and clove yeast character! Add blueberries and treat both your taste buds and eyes to some fun! Made with White Wheat malt and Pilsen malt! Very light hopped with Tettnang hops. One of our summer beers!
Village Best Bitters
Best Bitter! – A flavorful and refreshing session ale where drink-ability is the critical component. Born out of the family of British bitters from the late 1800s! Low to moderate hop aroma from East Kent Goldings hops with a light caramel quality from the malt is expected! Balance is often decidedly bitter although it does not overpower the malt! Low carbonation and light to medium body is showcased. Best served fresh!
